In the first quarter of 2024, the top 5 shopping applications in the Netherlands showcased notable trends in downloads and active users. Here’s a detailed look at how each app performed, based on data from Sensor Tower.
Temu: Shop Like a Billionaire saw a consistent download rate throughout the quarter. Weekly downloads fluctuated, peaking at around 134K in early March. Active users also saw a steady increase, reaching approximately 1.3M by mid-March.
SHEIN - Shopping Online experienced a gradual rise in weekly downloads, hitting a high of nearly 29K at the end of January. Active users maintained a strong presence, with slight increases throughout the quarter, peaking at about 990K in mid-February.
Lidl Plus demonstrated significant growth in weekly downloads, particularly notable in early January with nearly 40K downloads. Active users remained robust, with a peak of over 713K in early March.
Albert Heijn supermarkt showed steady weekly downloads, with a peak of approximately 27K in mid-February. Active user numbers were consistently high, maintaining just over 1.1M throughout the quarter.
Social Deal - The best deals saw stable weekly downloads, with a slight increase in mid-February reaching about 20K. Active users remained steady, with a peak of approximately 153K in late March.
