In the first quarter of 2024, the top social apps in Saudi Arabia showed diverse trends in downloads, revenue, and active users, according to Sensor Tower data. Here’s a closer look at the performance of the top 5 social apps:
TikTok continued to dominate the social app space. Weekly revenue started strong at approximately $1.42M in early January, gradually declining to around $1.04M by the end of March. Downloads fluctuated between 137K and 183K per week, with a notable dip in mid-March. Active users remained robust, averaging around 14.5M weekly, peaking at 14.9M in mid-February.
Chamet - Live Video Chat saw its highest weekly revenue in early January at $201K, decreasing to $107K by the end of March. Downloads varied, peaking at 13K in late March, while active users fluctuated between 49K and 61K, with a noticeable increase to 61K in the final week of March.
Poppo live experienced relatively stable weekly revenue, starting at $101K and ending at $74K. Downloads ranged from 4.2K to 6.7K per week, with the highest number in mid-February. Active users remained steady, averaging around 23K weekly.
Bigo Live - Live Streaming App had a consistent revenue stream, starting at $151K and ending at $116K weekly. Downloads were stable, fluctuating between 37K and 46K per week. Active users hovered around 700K, peaking at 724K in early January.
Tango- Live Stream, Video Chat showed a strong performance in revenue, reaching $221K in late January before dropping to $152K by the end of March. Downloads varied from 10K to 17K weekly, with the highest in late March. Active users steadily increased from 291K to 336K throughout the quarter.
