Q1 2024 Theme Parks Apps Surge in the US Market

The first quarter of 2024 has been a bustling period for theme parks apps in the United States, with Sensor Tower data showcasing noteworthy activity among the top players in this category. Here's a glimpse at how these apps have performed on the unified platform.

My Disney Experience has seen its revenue fluctuate, peaking at $243K towards the end of March. Downloads started at 81K in the first week of January and showed a steady pace, maintaining around 70K-80K weekly. Weekly active users began at 324K and slightly dipped to just under 315K by the end of March.

Disneyland®, also from Disney, displayed a more stable revenue trend with a slight dip to $17K in the last week of March. Downloads for the app were robust, beginning the quarter at 54K and climbing to over 62K. Weekly active users mirrored this positive trend, starting at 158K and rising to 164K.

NBCUniversal Media, LLC's Universal Orlando Resort app highlighted a strong download and active users growth despite not generating revenue. Downloads in the first week of January were nearly 40K and surged to 52K by the end of March. Active users showed a similar upward trajectory, from 121K to over 132K.

Universal Studios Hollywood™, another NBCUniversal app, also lacked revenue but did not fall short in attracting app users. It began with 35K downloads and experienced a rise to 38K. Active users started at 66K, with a notable increase to 63K, indicating consistent user engagement.

SeaWorld, from SeaWorld Parks & Entertainment Inc., had no revenue to report but saw a significant increase in downloads and active users. Starting the quarter with 25K downloads, it jumped to 35K, while active users grew from 48K to 53K, highlighting a successful Q1.
