State of AI Apps Report 2025 is Live!
In the first quarter of 2024, the performance of the top 5 Tools apps on a unified platform in Nigeria exhibited interesting trends in terms of weekly downloads, revenue, and active users. Data from Sensor Tower provides a detailed look at how these apps fared.
Tevi from Tevi Corp saw a significant rise in weekly revenue throughout the quarter. Starting with $97 in the week of January 22, the revenue peaked at approximately $3.1K in the week of March 4 before dropping to $6 by the end of March. Downloads were minimal during the quarter, with only 6 downloads recorded in the week of March 11.
ExpressVPN: VPN Fast & Secure from ExpressVPN experienced a consistent increase in weekly downloads, reaching a high of 25.7K in the week of March 11. Revenue peaked at around $1.3K during the same week. The app also saw a steady rise in active users, from 67.9K at the start of the quarter to nearly 98K by the end of March.
Mysterium VPN from UAB MN Technologijos also showed a positive trend in revenue, starting at $172 in the first week of January and reaching $570 by the last week of March. Weekly downloads saw a significant spike, peaking at 8.3K in the week of March 25.
NordVPN – fast VPN for privacy from Nord Security had a stable performance in terms of downloads and active users. Weekly downloads peaked at 11.2K in early March, while active users remained steady around 74K to 83K throughout the quarter. Revenue showed minor fluctuations, peaking at $904 in the last week of March.
Private Internet Access VPN from PIA Private Internet Access, Inc maintained a consistent download rate, with weekly downloads hovering around 15K. Active users were stable, averaging around 107K. Revenue peaked at $795 in mid-January but saw a gradual decline, ending the quarter at around $508.
