In the first quarter of 2024, the travel app market in the Dominican Republic showcased significant trends across the top 5 applications, according to Sensor Tower data.

Uber - Request a ride experienced fluctuating weekly downloads, starting at around 13K in early January and slightly decreasing to about 10.6K by the end of March. The app's weekly active users saw a peak in early March with approximately 419K, but experienced a decline to around 399K towards the end of the quarter.

inDrive. Save on city rides demonstrated a strong performance in weekly downloads, beginning the quarter with 15K and peaking at 18.7K by the end of January. Active user numbers, however, showed a downward trend from 300K in January to roughly 278K by the end of March.

Airbnb saw a notable decline in weekly downloads, starting the quarter with 10.8K but dropping to around 4.4K by the end of March. Active users also decreased from approximately 95K in early January to about 80K at the end of the quarter.

DiDi Rider: Affordable rides had stable weekly downloads, fluctuating between 5K and 7K throughout the quarter. Its active user base remained relatively stable, starting at 174K in early January and ending the quarter at approximately 173K.

Booking.com: Hotels & Travel experienced a decline in weekly downloads from 4.3K at the start of January to around 2.5K by the end of March. Active users saw a slight decrease from 57K in early January to approximately 52K by the quarter's end.
