In the first quarter of 2024, the virtual pet app market in Costa Rica saw varied performance across the top 5 applications. Below, we provide an overview of the trends in weekly downloads, revenue, and active users for these apps, based on data from Sensor Tower.
My Talking Angela 2 from Outfit7 Limited showed fluctuating weekly revenue, peaking at around $16 in the last week of March. Downloads started at 6.7K in early January and decreased to 2.1K by the end of February, before rebounding to 4.4K in the final week of March. Active users began at approximately 42.8K, dropping to 28.9K by late February, and then rising again to 35.3K by the end of March.
My Talking Tom 2 also by Outfit7 Limited, experienced a peak in revenue at $23 in the last week of January. The app's downloads started at 6.7K, dipped to 1.9K in the week of February 19, and then recovered to 3.3K by the end of March. Active users remained relatively stable, fluctuating between 38K and 52K throughout the quarter.
My Talking Tom Friends, another title by Outfit7 Limited, saw its highest weekly revenue of $67 during the first week of February. Downloads varied, starting at 4.4K, hitting a low of 1.7K in mid-February, and ending at 3.4K in the last week of March. Active users ranged from 44K to 61K over the quarter.
My Talking Tom, released by Outfit7 Limited, generated a peak weekly revenue of $33 in the final week of March. Download numbers were fairly consistent, starting at 2.7K and ending at 2.4K. Active users remained steady, between 13.8K and 16.7K throughout the quarter.
My Talking Angela, also from Outfit7 Limited, showed a peak revenue of approximately $16 in the second week of January. Downloads started at 2.4K and gradually decreased to 1.3K by early March, before slightly increasing to 1.8K by the end of the quarter. Active users ranged from 15.6K to 19.5K during this period.
