In the first quarter of 2024, the wellness apps category has shown varied trends across downloads, revenue, and weekly active users in the United States. Sensor Tower's data provides a comprehensive overview of the top five wellness applications on the unified platform, which includes both iOS and Android data.
ShutEye®: Sleep Tracker, Sound saw a fluctuating trend in revenue, peaking at around $516K in mid-February, with downloads following a declining trend from January's 306K to around 181K by the end of March. Weekly active users started strong at 423K and experienced a gradual decrease to 363K.
Ipnos Software Inc.'s BetterSleep: Relax and Sleep generated consistent revenue, with a slight uptick in March reaching nearly $315K. The app's downloads saw a dip from 158K to 141K over the quarter, while weekly active users showed resilience, rising from 724K to 768K by the end of March.
The Me+ Daily Routine Planner by Enerjoy Pte. Ltd. experienced a downward trend in revenue, with a start of around $345K in January and falling to $121K by March. Its downloads decreased from 331K to around 60K, with weekly active users also showing a downward trend from 932K to 624K.
Calm, published by Calm.com, maintained a strong revenue performance with over $1M each week, peaking at $1.32M in early January. Downloads showed a decline from 110K to 71K, while weekly active users started at 1.56M and ended the quarter at 1.44M.
Lastly, Breeze: Mental Health from Basenji Apps had a revenue that peaked at $237K in early January before settling to around $168K by March. Downloads saw a significant drop from 169K to 32K, and weekly active users decreased from 370K to 153K.
