As we delve into the Android auto application landscape in the UK for Q2 2024, Sensor Tower data reveals a mix of highs and lows among the top players in the market. Here's how the top 5 auto apps fared during this period.
AutoTrader: Cars to Buy & Sell saw its downloads fluctuate, starting at 12K in the first week of April and peaking at 12K in late May. Weekly active users followed a similar pattern, with numbers ranging from 109K to 116K throughout the quarter.
CarGurus: Used & New Cars experienced a spike in downloads mid-April at 7K, which later normalized to around 5K towards the end of June. The app's active users showed moderate variability, with a peak of 14K in late April and a low of 11K in mid-May.
BPme - Pay for Fuel and more had a steady increase in downloads, starting at 2K and rising to a high of 6K in early June. The weekly active users showed consistent growth, beginning at 19K and reaching a high of 24K by the end of June.
Shell downloads saw a peak of 5K in late April but dipped to 3K by the end of June. The active user base also declined, starting at 44K and decreasing to 41K over the same period.
Zapmap: EV charging points UK had a strong quarter in terms of revenue, with a consistent rise from $2K to $2K by the quarter's end. Downloads peaked at 3K in mid-June, while weekly active users remained fairly stable, hovering around the 25K mark.
