In the second quarter of 2024, the top 5 beauty retail apps on the Android platform in Germany showed varied performance in terms of downloads and weekly active users. Here’s a detailed look at each app’s performance based on data from Sensor Tower.
Douglas – Parfüm & Kosmetik maintained a consistent presence with weekly downloads fluctuating between 4.1K and 7.7K. The app saw a peak of 7.7K downloads in the first week of April. Weekly active users showed a slight decline early in the quarter, dropping from 43.3K to 38.5K, but rebounded to 40.4K by mid-June.
flaconi experienced significant spikes and dips in downloads, with a notable peak of 5.7K in the second week of April. Despite these fluctuations, the app maintained a robust weekly active user base, peaking at approximately 84.2K in mid-June.
Sephora - Make-up, Beauty had steady download numbers, ranging from 1.6K to 2.8K throughout the quarter. Weekly active users saw a gradual increase, starting at 7.1K and reaching a high of 8K in mid-June.
Notino: perfumes and cosmetics showed moderate download activity, peaking at 3.9K in the last week of May. Weekly active users grew from 11.5K at the beginning of April to a peak of 13.8K by the end of May, before stabilizing around 11K by the end of June.
LOOKFANTASTIC -Beauty Shopping had the lowest download numbers among the top 5, with a peak of 1.1K in mid-May. However, weekly active users remained relatively stable, with a peak of 9.6K in the second week of April.
