During the second quarter of 2024, the top 5 beauty retail apps on Android in the United States exhibited varied performance trends. Here's a closer look at their downloads, revenue, and weekly active users.
Sephora: Buy Makeup & Skincare saw a fluctuating download trend, starting with 22.7K downloads in the first week of April, peaking at 24K in the second week, and ending the quarter at 14.4K. Weekly active users also showed some variation, starting at 244.8K and closing the quarter slightly lower at 227.5K.
Ulta Beauty: Makeup & Skincare experienced a significant spike in downloads during the week of June 3, reaching 18.6K, up from an average of around 7K in previous weeks. Active users peaked at 187.7K during the week of May 13 but saw a gradual decline towards the end of the quarter, finishing at 124.9K.
Flip.shop maintained a relatively stable download rate, averaging around 3.5K to 5.5K throughout the quarter. Weekly active users demonstrated a consistent trend, starting at 16.9K and ending at 15.5K by the last week of June.
IPSY: Personalized Beauty had a steady download pattern with minor fluctuations, beginning Q2 with 4.1K downloads and ending at 2.5K. Active users saw a peak of 58.4K in mid-June, before dipping slightly to 52K by the end of the quarter.
Scentbird Monthly Perfume Box observed a steady rise in downloads towards the end of Q2, reaching 2.7K in the last week of June. Weekly active users remained relatively stable, starting at 8K and closing the quarter at 8.1K.
