In Q2 2024, the top 5 communication apps on the Android platform in Colombia showcased interesting trends in downloads, revenue, and active users. Here’s a closer look at their performance, based on data from Sensor Tower.
Truecaller: AI Call Blocker saw a varied performance in weekly revenue, peaking at approximately $5.9K in the first week of April and then experiencing fluctuations, ending the quarter at around $3.6K. Weekly downloads for the app showed significant growth, reaching 151K in mid-May from a low of 67K in early May. Active users remained consistently above 1M throughout the quarter, with a slight peak at 1.05M in late May.
magicApp Calling & Messaging had a steady revenue stream, with weekly earnings fluctuating around $2.6K to $5.7K, peaking in early April. Downloads remained relatively stable, averaging around 300-400 per week. Active user numbers hovered around 700-800, showing slight variations throughout the quarter.
Numero eSIM: Virtual Number experienced a downward trend in weekly revenue, starting from $3.8K and ending at around $2.4K. Downloads, however, showed an upward trend, peaking at 3.4K in late June. The app’s active users also increased steadily, reaching 3.7K by the end of the quarter.
CallApp: Caller ID & Block had a consistent revenue stream, with weekly earnings ranging from $1.8K to $3K. Downloads showed a notable increase in early May, peaking at 123K, while active users remained stable, averaging around 1M throughout the quarter.
Cafe - Live video chat displayed a steady performance in revenue, with weekly earnings ranging from $1.3K to $1.8K. Downloads saw a gradual increase, peaking at 5.2K in mid-April. Active users showed a similar trend, increasing from 6K in early April to approximately 8K by the end of June.
