In the second quarter of 2024, dragon-themed games continued to captivate players on the Android platform. Sensor Tower’s data offers a glimpse into the performance of the top five dragon games in the US during this period.
Dragonscapes Adventure showed a notable surge in downloads, peaking at 1.23M in the first week of June, a significant rise from 360K at the quarter's start. Weekly active users followed a similar uptrend, climbing from 3.4M to 4.6M in early June before settling at 3.6M. Revenue, however, fluctuated, with a high of 221K in mid-April and a low of 117K in early May.
Dragons: Rise of Berk saw a steady download pattern, ranging from 125K to 228K, while weekly active users experienced a slight increase from 498K to 479K throughout the quarter. Revenue peaked at 37K in mid-April but was inconsistent, with several weeks showing no revenue.
Call of Dragons maintained a stable revenue stream, starting at 525K and ending at 327K, despite a dip to 222K in early May. Downloads, however, gradually decreased from 176K to 117K. Weekly active users saw a modest decline from 2.7M to 2.6M over the quarter.
Age of Frostfall experienced a sharp drop in downloads from 424K to 3 by late April, with weekly active users following a downward trajectory from 696K to 160K. Revenue saw a decline, starting at 110K and dropping to 9K in the third week of April.
Lastly, Dragon Drill had a varied download pattern, with a spike to 121K in early June from a low of 14K in late April. Weekly active users reflected a decrease overall, from 419K to 115K by the end of the quarter. Notably, the game generated no revenue throughout the quarter.
