In Q2 2024, the Android apps of leading fast food and fast casual restaurants have shown varied user engagement and download figures. Sensor Tower's data gives us a glimpse into these trends.
The McDonald's app experienced fluctuations in weekly downloads, peaking at 4.9M in late May before dropping to 2.1M by the end of June. Weekly active users saw a similar trend, with a high of 170K in early April and dipping to 116K towards the end of the quarter.
BURGER KING® Österreich also witnessed variability in downloads, starting at 475K and reaching a high of 1.1M in mid-May. However, weekly active users data was not available for this quarter.
The McDonald’s Deutschland app showed a modest range in weekly downloads, with a notable spike to 403K at the end of May. Active user count remained relatively stable, starting at 3.1K and ending the quarter slightly lower at 2.8K.
The Subway® - Official App had its downloads hovering around the 100K mark throughout the quarter, with a dip to 68K in late April. Weekly active users peaked at 824 in mid-April, ending the quarter at 667.
Lastly, the app for KFC Austria Click & Collect had fewer downloads in comparison, with a notable increase to 241K in the third week of May. Active user data was not provided for this app.
