In the second quarter of 2024, the US market for fitness and weight loss apps on the Android platform saw varied performance trends. Data from Sensor Tower provides a comprehensive look at downloads, revenue, and weekly active users for these leading applications.
Strava: Run, Bike, Hike experienced a steady increase in weekly revenue, peaking at 666K USD in the last week of June. Downloads showed a slight decline from 578K in early April to 330K by the end of June, while weekly active users hovered around the 20K mark throughout the quarter.
MyFitnessPal: Calorie Counter also saw an overall upward revenue trend, with a notable peak of 499K USD in mid-June. Downloads began at 639K and ended the quarter at a slightly lower 369K. Active users remained relatively stable, starting at 7.6K and ending at 7.8K.
Dancefitme: Fun Workouts had a fluctuating revenue pattern, with a significant jump to 347K USD at the end of April and another rise to 382K USD in early June. Downloads peaked at 547K in late April, then settled to 343K by the quarter's close. Weekly active users saw their highest at 907 in late April, eventually normalizing to 671 by the end of June.
Yoga-Go: Yoga For Weight Loss showed a declining trend in both revenue and downloads throughout the quarter, with revenue dropping from 313K USD to 94K USD and downloads decreasing from 201K to a mere 24 by the end of June. Active users also saw a downtrend, starting at 546 and finishing at 210.
Lastly, AllTrails: Hike, Bike & Run presented a mixed revenue performance, with a mid-quarter high of 262K USD and then dipping to 138K USD by the quarter's conclusion. Downloads saw a high of 676K in early April, but ended lower at 312K in the final week of June. The trend for weekly active users started at 2K and showed a slight decrease to 1.3K by the end of Q2.
