With the second quarter of 2024 behind us, Sensor Tower provides a snapshot of the fitness and weight loss app market for Android users in the United States. Here's how the top apps fared in terms of downloads and weekly active users.
Mi Fitness (Xiaomi Wear) saw a fluctuating trend in downloads, kicking off the quarter with approximately 14K downloads and dipping to about 9K in late April before slightly recovering to 10K by the end of June. Weekly active users remained robust, starting at 216K and experiencing a dip mid-quarter, then stabilizing around 208K.
Step Counter - Pedometer by Hitchhike Tech showed a similar pattern with downloads starting at about 10K, decreasing to around 7K, and then slightly picking up to just above 7K towards the quarter's end. Weekly active users saw a modest increase from 30K to around 31K.
Kalorické Tabulky experienced a notable revenue trend with a peak of over $2K in mid-April, followed by a general decline to just under $2K by June. Downloads started at 10K, dropped to 6K, and ended at about 6K, while weekly active users began at 54K, dipped to 49K, and closed the quarter at around 50K.
The second Step Counter - Pedometer app, from Leap Fitness Group, showed an overall decline in downloads from nearly 10K to about 3K, with weekly active users decreasing from 115K to 112K. Notably, the app saw nominal revenue figures throughout the quarter.
Lastly, Zepp Life generated revenues peaking at $162 in early April and then again mid-quarter, with a low of $2 at the end of May. Downloads decreased from 7.6K to 4.4K. Weekly active users started strong at 369K but saw a decline to 279K by the quarter's end.
