In the second quarter of 2024, the food and diet tracking application landscape on Android has shown varied performance across the top contenders in the US market. As per the data provided by Sensor Tower, these are the insights into the top five apps in this category.
MyFitnessPal: Calorie Counter saw a fluctuation in weekly revenue, with a peak at $64K in late April, followed by a dip to $14K in mid-June. Downloads experienced a rise from 169K to 197K in mid-June before dropping to 174K. Weekly active users started at 1.6M and reached a high of 1.7M by mid-June, concluding the quarter at 1.6M.
Kompanion Intermittent Fasting demonstrated a downward trend in revenue, starting at $62K and ending at $18K. Downloads peaked at 538K in the first week of April but saw a significant decline thereafter, with no new downloads in the last week of June. Active users began at 1.2M, peaked at 1.4M in mid-April, and ended the quarter at 1M.
Fitia - Diet & Meal Planner maintained a relatively stable revenue stream, hovering around the $30K mark and peaking at $36K mid-quarter. Downloads saw a high of 220K in early April and late April, with a quarter-end at 114K. Active users showed a slight decline from 763K to 658K over the quarter.
YAZIO Food & Calorie Counter experienced a mid-quarter revenue high of $46K, with a quarter-end at $14K. Downloads displayed a remarkable surge from 83K to 527K in mid-June before falling to 338K. Active users showed an overall increase, starting at 1.2M and reaching 1.6M in mid-June, then closing the quarter at 1.4M.
Lastly, BodyFast: Intermittent Fasting showed varied revenue with a peak at $45K in mid-April and a low of $8K at the quarter's end. Downloads remained relatively consistent, ranging from 251K to 373K. Weekly active users numbered around 800K throughout the quarter, with slight fluctuations.
