In Q2 2024, the UK's food delivery app landscape on Android saw varying levels of engagement, as reported by Sensor Tower. Here's a glimpse into the performance of the top five services during this period.
Too Good To Go: End Food Waste experienced a fluctuating trend in downloads, starting at 24K and peaking at 31K in April before descending to 17K by the end of June. Weekly active users commenced at 404K, hitting a high of 419K in late April and then gradually decreasing to 363K.
Just Eat - Food Delivery saw its downloads begin at 15K, with a slight increase to 17K in April, followed by a drop and eventual rise back to around 18K in June. Weekly active users started at 579K, dipped to 519K mid-quarter, and rebounded to 532K by the quarter's end.
Deliveroo: Food & Shopping kicked off with 14K downloads in the first week of April, modestly rising to 15K towards the end of the month. After a dip in early June to around 13K, it climbed back to nearly 15K by the quarter's close. Weekly active users showcased a more consistent pattern, starting strong at 1.06M, with slight fluctuations and a concluding figure of 1.01M.
Uber Eats: Food Delivery maintained a steady download count, commencing at 14K, with minor variances throughout the quarter, and ending with around 14K downloads. Weekly active users exhibited a more dynamic trend, initiating at 1.13M, peaking at 1.2M in late April, and then slightly decreasing to 1.17M by the end of June.
Lastly, HelloFresh: Meal Kit Delivery began the quarter with 6K downloads, saw an increase to 6.7K in mid-May, but ended with a decrease to 5K. Its weekly active users started at 52K, encountered a mid-quarter boost to 51K, and closed the quarter with 48K.
