In the second quarter of 2024, the top 5 free-to-play games on Android in Europe showcased a variety of performance trends in downloads, revenue, and weekly active users. Here’s a closer look at how these games fared:
Pizza Ready! From Supercent, Inc., this game saw a dynamic quarter. Downloads started strong with over 1M in the first week of April but declined to approximately 449K by the end of June. Revenue experienced a steady drop from $12K to about $5.4K over the same period. Weekly active users began at nearly 1.95M and fluctuated slightly, ending the quarter at around 1.66M.
Roblox Roblox Corporation's popular platform game continued to perform well. Revenue fluctuated, starting at $1.77M and closing at about $1.65M. Downloads showed a similar trend, peaking at 670K in early April and ending at approximately 631K. Weekly active users saw a consistent rise, beginning at 37.8M and reaching over 41.4M by the end of June.
Brawl Stars Supercell's hit game experienced notable highs and lows. Revenue varied, starting at $4.51M and peaking at nearly $4.9M in mid-June before ending at $3.54M. Downloads were around 631K at the beginning and saw a slight increase to 655K by late June. Weekly active users started at 49.4M, dipped to around 43.5M in early June, and then rose to approximately 44.8M by the quarter's end.
Block Blast! Hungry Studio's game showed steady performance in terms of downloads and weekly active users. Downloads began at 472K and saw incremental growth to about 501K by the end of June. Weekly active users remained relatively stable, starting at 3.16M and ending at approximately 2.92M.
Squad Busters Another title from Supercell, Squad Busters, demonstrated significant growth post-launch. Revenue surged from $69K in late May to around $585K by the end of June. Downloads saw a massive spike, starting at 275K and peaking at about 2.5M in the last week of May before settling at 630K. Weekly active users followed a similar trend, starting at 218K and reaching around 538K by the quarter's close.
