In the second quarter of 2024, the Idle RPG category on Android showcased diverse performance metrics for the leading games in the US market. Here's a look at how each game fared according to Sensor Tower data.
Legend of Mushroom by Joy Nice Games experienced a peak in revenue at $2.5M in mid-April, followed by a decline to under $1M by the end of June. Downloads saw a significant drop from 549K in early April to just 28K by late June, while weekly active users (WAU) fell from 1.9M to 1.5M over the same period.
Mars-Games' Isekai:Slow Life also saw a downward revenue trend from $1.8M to $770K. Downloads remained relatively stable, hovering around the mid-100sK range, and WAUs showed a slight increase from 1.2M to 1.36M by the quarter's end.
Legend of Slime: Idle RPG War from AppQuantum had modest revenue figures, peaking at $143K and ending the quarter at $111K. The game's downloads and WAUs saw a general decrease, with downloads starting at 116K and settling at 77K, and WAUs decreasing from 332K to 278K.
DHGAMES' Idle Heroes - 8th Anniversary showed a more volatile revenue pattern, with an initial $2.5M that dipped to $580K before rising back to $1.9M in early June. Downloads remained low throughout the quarter, with a slight peak of 95K in late May. WAUs started at 1.02M and ended at 909K.
Lastly, Slime Castle - Idle TD by Azur Interactive Games Limited, which released in early May, saw revenue grow from $3K to $62K. Downloads peaked at 178K in mid-May and leveled at 88K by late June. WAUs showed healthy growth from 41K just after release to 160K by the end of June.
