State of AI Apps Report 2025 is Live!
The second quarter of 2024 has been eventful for the top investing and financial management apps on the Android platform in Africa. Here’s a breakdown of their performance, based on data from Sensor Tower.
Tonkeeper — TON Wallet, published by Ton Apps Limited, showed a significant growth in weekly downloads, starting from around 42K in early April and peaking at over 571K by mid-June. The app’s weekly active users also saw a remarkable increase, rising from approximately 107K in the first week of April to around 1.18M by the end of June.
Phantom by Phantom Technologies, Inc. witnessed fluctuations in its weekly downloads. Beginning with about 150K downloads in early April, the numbers fell to around 29K by the end of June. However, the app experienced a surge in active users, reaching a peak of approximately 850K in mid-May before settling at around 543K by the end of June.
Binance: Buy Bitcoin & Crypto, from Binance Inc., maintained a steady increase in weekly downloads. Starting at around 61K in early April, downloads surged to approximately 387K by early June. The app’s active users remained robust, peaking at about 1.13M in early June and maintaining over 1M active users towards the end of the quarter.
Cryptomania — Trading Simulator, presented by Edusystems OU, showed consistent weekly downloads, fluctuating between 96K and 158K throughout the quarter. The app’s revenue peaked at around $405 in the first week of June. Active users were also stable, with a peak of approximately 415K by the end of June.
Pocket Broker - trading from Pocket Investments LLC experienced steady weekly downloads, starting at around 135K in early April and reaching approximately 118K by late June. Active users showed a consistent upward trend, climbing from around 254K in early April to nearly 350K by the end of June.
