In the second quarter of 2024, the top five music games on the Android platform in the United States showcased notable trends in downloads, revenue, and weekly active users. Here’s a detailed look at their performance:
Geometry Dash Lite, developed by RobTop Games from Sweden, saw its downloads fluctuate slightly over the quarter. Starting at 76K in the first week of April, downloads dipped to around 61K by early May before climbing back up to a peak of approximately 92K in mid-June, and finally settling at 72K by the end of June. Weekly active users mirrored this trend, beginning at 1.6M and reaching a peak of 1.8M in the final week of June.
Magic Tiles 3, published by AMANOTES PTE LTD from Vietnam, started strong with 68K downloads in early April but experienced a slight drop mid-quarter, recovering to 83K by mid-June. The app's revenue was relatively steady, peaking at $7.2K in the last week of June. Weekly active users showed growth throughout the quarter, starting at 571K and peaking at 648K in mid-June before ending at 603K.
Cyber Surfer from BADSNOWBALL HONGKONG LIMITED, saw a mixed performance in downloads, starting at 43K in the first week of April, dipping to 24K in mid-May, and then rising again to 38K by mid-June. Revenue ranged between $734 and $1.5K, peaking at $1.5K in early June. The app's weekly active users started at 130K, dropping to around 91K mid-quarter, and ending at 101K by the end of June.
Geometry Dash, another title from RobTop Games, experienced a significant increase in downloads, starting at 15K in early April and reaching 58K by the end of April, before stabilizing around 30K by the end of June. Revenue showed a steady increase, peaking at $12K in mid-May. Weekly active users fluctuated slightly, starting at 198K in early April and ending at 175K by the end of June.
Tiles Hop EDM Rush Music Game, also from AMANOTES PTE LTD, started with 33K downloads in early April, experienced a dip mid-quarter, and then rose to 35K by early June before settling at 25K by the end of June. Revenue remained consistent, peaking at $1.3K in early June. Weekly active users showed slight fluctuations, beginning at 265K in early April and ending at 229K by the end of June.
