Shoot'em Up games have always enthralled Android users with their fast-paced action and engaging gameplay. As we review the second quarter of 2024, Sensor Tower provides us with a snapshot of how the top 5 games in this genre have fared in terms of downloads, revenue, and weekly active users.
Starting with Galaxy Attack: Shooting Game, the title saw its revenue peak at $178K towards the end of May, with notable spikes in downloads, reaching over 20K in the last week of June. Active users also showed a significant uptick, climbing to nearly 95K in the same period.
On the other hand, Killer Bean Unleashed maintained a relatively steady revenue, hovering around a few thousand dollars throughout the quarter. Downloads spiked mid-April at over 18K, while weekly active users saw their highest at approximately 39K towards the end of April.
1945 Air Force: Airplane games experienced a more variable trend, with revenue reaching $103K by the end of April but then fluctuating in the subsequent weeks. Downloads peaked at over 16K in mid-April, and active users reached a high of over 72K in the same period before experiencing a general downtrend.
The revenue for Space shooter - Galaxy attack saw a sharp rise in early April at $268K but then showed an overall decline towards the end of the quarter. Downloads remained relatively consistent, with a noticeable drop in mid-April, while active users peaked at over 56K at the start of April.
Lastly, Little Hero: Survival.io showed an interesting pattern with no revenue recorded for most of the quarter. Downloads, however, surged to nearly 18K in mid-April, but this momentum was not sustained, with a sharp decline to just a few hundred by the end of June. Weekly active users mirrored this trend, peaking at over 20K in late April but then dropping significantly by the quarter's end.
