In the second quarter of 2024, the top adventure games on iOS in Europe showcased notable trends in downloads, revenue, and active users. Here, we delve into the performance of the leading five games.
Wuthering Waves, developed by KURO GAMES, saw impressive initial downloads of approximately 645K in its launch week of May 20. However, downloads declined sharply to around 14K by the week of June 24. Revenue peaked at $455K in the week of June 3, after an initial revenue of $396K in its first week. Weekly active users decreased steadily from 583K in the launch week to about 189K by the end of June.
Solo Leveling:Arise by Netmarble Corporation experienced a significant drop in downloads from roughly 544K in its release week to 22K by the end of June. Revenue started at $706K in early May and gradually declined to $186K by the last week of June. Active users showed a relatively stable trend, starting at 520K and slightly increasing to 450K by the end of the quarter.
Brain Test 4: Tricky Friends, from UNICO STUDIO, maintained a consistent download rate with a slight uptrend, peaking at 55K in the last week of June. Revenue fluctuated but remained around the $2K-$2.8K range. Weekly active users saw an upward trend, increasing from 253K in early April to 343K by the end of June.
Super Mario Run by Nintendo Co., Ltd. saw a steady download rate, peaking at 45K in mid-May. Revenue, however, showed a slight decline from $7.9K in early April to around $5.5K by the end of June. Active users remained relatively stable, with minor fluctuations around the 130K-160K range.
The Sims™ FreePlay from Electronic Arts demonstrated stable performance in downloads, maintaining around 29K-36K throughout the quarter. Revenue showed a gradual decline from $105K in early April to $73K by the end of June. Active users exhibited steady numbers, hovering around the 175K-190K mark.
