The second quarter of 2024 saw noteworthy performances from the top 5 adventure games on iOS in the United States. Here's a closer look at their metrics based on data from Sensor Tower.
Wuthering Waves, published by KURO GAMES, had a strong start with 1.4M downloads in its first week post-release on May 21. However, downloads decreased steadily, reaching around 32K by the end of June. Revenue peaked in the first week at approximately $1.3M, followed by fluctuations, ending the quarter at about $960K. Weekly active users mirrored the download trend, starting at 1.3M and declining to 380K.
Solo Leveling:Arise by Netmarble Corporation saw an initial spike in revenue, reaching $1.6M in its first week. This figure gradually decreased, settling at around $416K by the end of June. Downloads followed a similar pattern, starting at 613K and decreasing to 42K. Interestingly, weekly active users maintained a more stable trend, starting at 595K and slightly increasing to 578K.
The Sims™ FreePlay from Electronic Arts demonstrated consistent performance. Revenue hovered around $254K throughout most of the quarter, ending at approximately $235K. Downloads showed a slight upward trend, starting at 35K in early April and increasing to 47K by late June. Weekly active users remained steady, fluctuating between 146K and 158K.
Super Mario Run, published by Nintendo Co., Ltd., maintained a stable revenue stream, averaging around $9K weekly. Downloads experienced minor fluctuations, ranging from 28K to 36K. Weekly active users showed a slight decline, from 218K at the beginning of April to 200K by the end of June.
Genshin Impact by COGNOSPHERE PTE. LTD. experienced significant revenue peaks, notably reaching $3.2M in late April and $1.6M in early June. Downloads remained relatively stable, averaging around 30K weekly. Weekly active users saw minor fluctuations, starting at 521K and ending the quarter at 454K.
