In the second quarter of 2024, city building games continued to captivate the iOS audience in the United States. Sensor Tower's data provides us with a clear view of how these games performed during this period.

SimCity BuildIt, published by Electronic Arts, saw its weekly revenue trend downwards from $379K to $296K, while downloads slightly decreased from 24K to 21K. The weekly active users also dropped, starting at 99K and closing the quarter at 98K.

Another title from Mars Era Limited, Isekai:Slow Life, showed a revenue decline from $375K to $190K. Its downloads dipped from 15K to around 7K, but the weekly active users had a more positive trend, climbing from 91K to 101K by the end of the quarter.

The game Puzzles & Chaos: Frozen Castle, by BUILDING-BLOCKS NETWORK TECHNOLOGY CO.,LIMITED, had a varied revenue performance, peaking at $283K. Downloads started at approximately 14K and saw a slight increase to 11K. Active users grew from 42K to 51K over the quarter.

Microfun Limited's Merge County® revealed a steady revenue trend with a peak at $140K and a low at $121K. The game had an irregular download pattern with numbers ranging from a few hundred to zero. Active user count saw a decline from 15K to 8K.

Lastly, The Simpsons™: Tapped Out, also by Electronic Arts, had fluctuating revenue that rose to $118K in early June but ended the quarter around $40K. Downloads remained consistent, hovering around 6K, and weekly active users were stable, maintaining around 100K throughout the quarter.
