In the second quarter of 2024, the food and diet tracking app category on iOS saw varied performance across top applications. Here's a brief overview of the trends for the top five apps based on downloads, revenue, and weekly active users, with insights provided by Sensor Tower.
MyFitnessPal: Calorie Counter maintained a strong presence with weekly revenues peaking at $316K and downloads reaching up to 81K. Its weekly active users showed a consistent increase, ending the quarter with 2.1M users.
YAZIO Calorie Counter & Diet experienced weekly revenue highs of $176K, with downloads spiking at 50K in the first week of April. Active users peaked at 160K in early April but remained relatively stable throughout the quarter.
Fastic: Food & Calorie Tracker saw its revenue fluctuate, with notable peaks at $202K. The app's downloads surged towards the end of the quarter, reaching 66K, and weekly active users doubled from 10K to 100K.
Pulse Checker. Calorie Manager reported steady revenues, with the highest at $154K. However, the app saw a decline in downloads, ceasing completely by June, while active users gradually decreased to 47K.
Fitia: Diet & Meal Planner showed varied revenue but reached a high of $125K mid-quarter. Downloads were consistent in the 50K range, dropping slightly in June. Active users saw a dip in May but recovered to 199K by mid-June.
