In Q2 of 2024, the merge game category on iOS has seen varying levels of engagement and financial success. Sensor Tower offers an in-depth analysis of the top five merge games, providing insights into downloads, revenue, and weekly active users.
Travel Town - Merge Adventure by Magmatic Games Ltd showed a steady increase in revenue, starting at $831K and peaking at $1.75M in mid-May before settling around $983K towards the end of June. Downloads fluctuated, with a high of 98K in mid-April and maintaining an average of 50K throughout the quarter. Weekly active users peaked at 1.99M in early May, demonstrating strong engagement.
Seaside Escape®: Merge & Story, another game from Microfun Limited, saw a gradual increase in revenue, from $52K to a high of $535K by the end of June. Downloads saw a significant spike in late April with 256K, while weekly active users more than doubled from 154K to 384K, indicating a growing player base.
Microfun Limited's Gossip Harbor®: Merge & Story experienced consistent revenue, hovering around $1M with a notable spike to $1.34M in mid-June. Downloads reached a peak of 300K in late April and active users increased from 556K to 913K, showing a healthy uptrend in engagement.
GreenPixel Ltd's Merge Hotel Empire-Design Game had a modest revenue performance, with a notable peak of $455K in late April. However, downloads remained low with no significant changes, and the data for weekly active users was missing for several weeks, suggesting limited user engagement.
Lastly, Merge Dragons! by Gram Games saw revenue growth from $68K to $244K by the end of the quarter. Downloads were minimal, and weekly active users showed a slight uptick but remained below 25K, indicating a relatively small but possibly dedicated player base.
