In the second quarter of 2024, pirate-themed mobile games continued to navigate the waters of the iOS gaming market in Australia. Sensor Tower's data provides us with a glimpse into how these games performed during this period.
Sea of Conquest: Pirate War by FunPlus International AG showed a steady revenue trend, peaking at around $39K by the end of June. Downloads, however, saw a decline from 2.8K in the first week of April to 749 by the last week of June. Weekly active users followed a similar downward trend, starting at 3.9K and falling to approximately 2.2K.
SayGames LTD's Pirate Raid: Caribbean Battle experienced modest revenue numbers, fluctuating between $221 and $268 throughout the quarter. Downloads remained fairly consistent, with peaks and troughs ranging from 327 to 150. The game's weekly active users showed a slight decrease from 486 to 303.
Go Go Magnet!, developed by Oh BiBi, had a revenue curve with highs and lows, ending the quarter at a modest $89. The game's downloads came to a near halt in June, with no weekly active users data available for the quarter.
Samfinaco LLC's Roger That: Merge Adventure! saw its revenue ranging from $934 to $315 by quarter's end. It started with 187 downloads in the first week of April but dropped to zero by mid-June, with no weekly active users data provided for the game during this quarter.
Lastly, Pirates of the Caribbean: ToW by JOYCITY Corp showed an impressive revenue increase, starting at $1.2K and soaring to nearly $5K by mid-June before settling at $3.5K. Downloads and weekly active users, however, remained low, with downloads peaking at 169 and weekly active users peaking at 131 in May.
