In the second quarter of 2024, the tower defense genre maintained its popularity among iOS users in the United Kingdom. Sensor Tower's data showcases the performance of the top contenders in this category.
Primal Conquest: Dino Era saw a promising start following its April release, with downloads peaking at 15K and weekly active users hitting 11K in the same month. However, by June, both figures saw a downward trend, with downloads dipping to just a few hundred and active users falling to 4K.
Meanwhile, Bloons TD 6 NETFLIX experienced relatively stable weekly active users, hovering around 29K, despite a slight decrease in downloads over the quarter, from 5K to just over 3K. The game's revenue showed some fluctuations, with notable peaks around the end of April and mid-June.
Rush Royale: Tower Defense TD demonstrated robust revenue figures, with notable spikes in mid-April and mid-June, reaching up to 35K. Downloads remained consistent, ranging from 3K to 5K, while active users showed a slight decline from 39K to 37K towards the end of the quarter.
Tower Defense TD from TAP4FUN (HONGKONG) LIMITED saw its revenue peak mid-quarter at 32K before settling to around 17K. Downloads started strong at 8K but slowed down to just over 2K, and weekly active users reflected a similar pattern, decreasing from 11K to 5K.
Lastly, Plants vs. Zombies™ maintained a consistent revenue stream, albeit on the lower end, with weekly figures generally hovering around the low hundreds. Downloads showed a slight decrease from 3K to around 2.5K, while weekly active users had a modest downward trend from 20K to 16K.
