In the second quarter of 2024, the top beauty retail apps in Europe exhibited diverse performance trends in terms of downloads and weekly active users. Here’s a closer look at how each app fared during this period, with data sourced from Sensor Tower.
SEPHORA - Maquillage, Parfum saw a decline in downloads, starting strong with 347K in the first week of April and gradually decreasing to about 157K by the end of June. However, weekly active users remained relatively stable, hovering around 1.1M throughout the quarter, peaking at 1.14M in the second week of April.
Notino: profumi e cosmetici experienced a more fluctuating download trend. Downloads ranged from 55K to 97K, with the highest spike in the week of April 22. Weekly active users showed a steady pattern, maintaining a range between 355K and 417K, with a noticeable increase towards the end of the quarter.
Douglas - Parfüm & Kosmetik maintained a consistent download rate, averaging around 43K to 48K per week. The app’s weekly active users also displayed stability, averaging around 270K throughout the quarter.
Superdrug - Beauty and Health exhibited a steady download trend, starting at 32K in early April and ending at approximately 28K in late June. Weekly active users remained fairly constant, ranging from 75K to 87K, with a minor peak in late May.
LOOKFANTASTIC: Beauty & Makeup showed moderate download numbers, fluctuating between 20K and 28K. The app’s active user base remained stable, with weekly active users averaging around 160K throughout the quarter.
