In the second quarter of 2024, the top carpooling and ridesharing apps in France showed varied performance metrics, providing interesting insights into user preferences and engagement. Here’s a closer look at the performance of these apps, based on data from Sensor Tower.
Bolt: Request a Ride saw a consistent increase in weekly downloads, starting with 43.3K in early April and peaking at 54.8K in early May. The app maintained a steady growth in weekly active users, climbing from 117.4K to reach 138.3K by the end of June.
Uber - Request a ride also showed a positive trend in downloads, starting at 39.9K and reaching a high of 49.6K mid-June. The app experienced significant engagement with weekly active users rising from 869.4K to over 1M in late May and maintaining above 1M through June.
BlaBlaCar: Carpooling and Bus showed fluctuating download numbers, peaking at 35.7K in early May before settling around 30.6K by the end of June. The app's weekly active users saw a peak of 380.7K in early May, before stabilizing to around 307.8K by late June.
BlaBlaCar Daily (Covoiturage) experienced a downward trend in downloads, starting at 32.5K in early April and falling to 22.4K by the end of June. Weekly active users also showed a slight decline, from 84.4K to 72.6K over the quarter.
Heetch - Ride-hailing app had a somewhat steady performance in downloads, fluctuating around the 20K mark, peaking at 20.7K in late June. The app's weekly active users remained relatively stable, starting at 82.3K and ending at 84.6K.
