In the second quarter of 2024, the top carpooling and ridesharing apps in Norway displayed dynamic trends in downloads and weekly active users, as captured by Sensor Tower. Here is a closer look at the performance of these leading apps.
Bolt: Request a Ride saw a significant rise in downloads, starting at around 4K in early April and climbing steadily to approximately 7.7K by the end of June. The app's weekly active users also followed an upward trajectory, increasing from 21.4K to 26.5K over the same period.
Uber - Request a ride experienced a consistent growth in downloads, beginning with about 2.7K in the first week of April and peaking at nearly 5.8K in the last week of June. Weekly active users showed a stable and slightly increasing trend, moving from 167K to 179.7K throughout the quarter.
Uber - Driver: Drive & Deliver had a modest increase in downloads, starting at 286 and reaching 372 by the end of June. The weekly active users for this app displayed a gradual rise from 3.7K to 4.1K over the quarter.
Cabify showed a steady yet slow growth in downloads, beginning at 125 and ending at 182. The weekly active users saw a slight increase, moving from 484 to 541 during the quarter.
Yango: taxi, food, delivery had varied download numbers, starting at 98 and reaching a high of 224 mid-June before settling at 168 by the end of the quarter. The weekly active users, however, showed a more fluctuating pattern, ending the quarter with around 709 users.
