Throughout the second quarter of 2024, the top carpooling and ridesharing apps in Saudi Arabia showcased notable performance trends across various metrics.
Uber - Request a ride maintained strong weekly downloads, peaking at approximately 34.4K in late April and mid-June. The app saw a consistent user engagement with active users growing from 965K at the start of April to over 1M by the end of June.
Jeeny - جيني experienced a similar upward trajectory in downloads, hitting a high of 31.2K at the end of May. Active users fluctuated slightly but remained robust, starting at 145K in early April and reaching 153K by mid-June.
Bolt: Request a Ride saw a steady increase in weekly downloads, peaking at 29.4K in the final week of June. Active users also demonstrated growth, starting at 140K in early April and climbing to 162K by the end of the quarter.
Saudi Ride Hailing : Kaiian had a notable spike in downloads in late April, reaching 33.3K, but experienced a decline towards the end of the quarter, dropping to around 12K weekly downloads. Active users followed a similar pattern, peaking at 59K in April and decreasing to 41K by late June.
Careem – rides, food & more showed consistent weekly downloads, with a peak of 21.7K in mid-June. Active users grew steadily, starting at 236K in early April and reaching 254K by the end of June.
