In the second quarter of 2024, the top five communication apps in Bulgaria showed varying trends in terms of weekly downloads, revenue, and active users. Data from Sensor Tower provides insights into the performance of Messenger, WhatsApp Messenger, Rakuten Viber Messenger, Telegram, and Snapchat.
Throughout Q2 2024, Messenger from Meta Platforms, Inc. experienced a steady increase in weekly revenue, peaking at approximately $143 in late May. Weekly downloads fluctuated, seeing a notable rise to 16.9K in mid-June. Active users remained relatively stable, with minor fluctuations, averaging around 1.6M throughout the quarter.
WhatsApp Messenger from WhatsApp LLC showed modest weekly revenue, reaching a peak of $14 in the final week of June. Weekly downloads remained consistent, with a slight increase to 13.1K in mid-April. Active user numbers exhibited growth, peaking at approximately 1.28M in early June.
Rakuten Viber Messenger from Viber Media saw a steady increase in weekly revenue, reaching its highest at $1.69K in the last week of June. Weekly downloads also showed an upward trend, peaking at 12.9K in the same period. Active users remained fairly stable, averaging around 1.55M throughout the quarter.
Telegram from Telegram FZ-LLC experienced a gradual increase in weekly revenue, peaking at approximately $2.1K in the last week of June. Weekly downloads saw a significant rise, reaching 11.9K in early June. The number of active users remained stable, averaging around 350K throughout the quarter.
Snapchat from Snap Inc showed a fluctuating revenue pattern, with a peak of $1.7K in late April. Weekly downloads saw an increase, peaking at 7.3K in the last week of June. Active users displayed a stable trend, averaging around 720K throughout the quarter.
