State of AI Apps Report 2025 is Live!
The second quarter of 2024 saw notable activity among the top consumer finance apps in Mexico. Below, we analyze the performance of the leading apps in terms of downloads and weekly active users, based on data from Sensor Tower.
BBVA México demonstrated a strong presence with downloads increasing to approximately 232.7K in the week of June 10. However, the app observed a slight dip towards the end of the quarter, closing with around 209.9K downloads in the final week of June. Weekly active users showed a fluctuating trend, peaking at about 10.1M mid-April and ending the quarter at nearly 9.9M.
Nubank: Conta, Cartão e mais maintained a steady download rate, peaking at 168.9K in the second week of April and stabilizing around 154.2K by the end of June. The app's weekly active users saw a consistent upward trend, starting at 3.3M at the beginning of April and reaching approximately 3.4M by the end of June.
Banco Azteca also showed impressive download numbers, starting at 106.2K in early April and peaking at around 137.1K in mid-June. Weekly active users for Banco Azteca followed a similar positive trajectory, beginning the quarter at 4.2M and closing at about 4.5M.
Santander SuperMóvil saw a moderate increase in downloads, reaching a high of 103.3K in the week of June 10 before slightly declining to 89.4K by the end of June. The app's weekly active users fluctuated, peaking at 2.8M in late May and ending the quarter at approximately 2.7M.
Banorte Movil experienced consistent download activity, with notable peaks at 88.3K in mid-May and a high of 91.7K in the final week of June. Weekly active users remained relatively stable, starting at 2.8M in early April and ending the quarter at around 3M.
