In the second quarter of 2024, the performance of the top five dating applications in Germany showcased interesting trends in downloads, revenue, and weekly active users. Here’s a detailed look at how each app performed:
Bumble Dating App: Meet & Date Bumble experienced consistent growth in revenue, starting from approximately $368K in early April and peaking at around $432K by the end of June. Downloads reflected a slightly fluctuating trend, ranging from 27K to 32K per week. Weekly active users saw a notable high of 663K at the end of April but generally remained stable, closing the quarter at roughly 614K.
Tinder Dating App: Chat & Date Tinder showed a robust revenue increase throughout the quarter, beginning at $759K in the first week of April and reaching nearly $970K by the end of June. Downloads showed steadiness, averaging between 26K and 30K weekly. Active users demonstrated a slight decline mid-quarter, dropping from 1.98M to approximately 1.87M, but rebounded to 1.91M by the end of June.
OmeTV – Video Chat Alternative OmeTV’s revenue saw a gradual rise, starting at $27K and ending at around $37K. Downloads were variable, with a low of 22K and a high nearing 32K per week. Active users increased from 161K in early April to 171K by the end of June, indicating a steady user base growth.
Hinge Dating App: Match & Meet Hinge’s revenue showed a positive trend, starting from $99K and peaking at about $125K. Downloads ranged between 21K and 24K weekly. The app’s active users grew from 58K to approximately 69K, reflecting a consistent increase in user engagement throughout the quarter.
Badoo: Dating. Chat. Friends Badoo experienced revenue growth from $93K to $136K. Downloads fluctuated between 12K and 16K per week. Active users remained relatively stable, ranging from 487K to 525K, and closing the quarter at about 517K.
