In the second quarter of 2024, dragon-themed mobile games have shown diverse trends in downloads, revenue, and active users. Sensor Tower provides a closer look at the performance of the top dragon games across the unified platform, which includes data from both iOS and Android.
Dragon City - Breed & Battle! from Socialpoint demonstrated steady growth in revenue, peaking at around $10M in mid-May. Downloads for the game fluctuated over the quarter, with a high of approximately 9K in early June. Weekly active users saw a decline in April, dropping to around 150K, but regained momentum to reach approximately 165K by mid-June.
Gameloft's Dragon Mania Legends showed modest revenue figures, hovering in the low hundreds of dollars, with a peak of $347 in mid-June. Downloads remained under 3K throughout the quarter, and weekly active users experienced a slight decrease from 13K to 10K over the period.
Farlight Games' Call of Dragons saw its revenue reaching over $2.5K by the end of June. The game maintained a consistent download rate, with numbers ranging from 850 to 1.1K. Active users saw a gradual increase from approximately 6.4K to 7.1K, indicating a growing player base.
For Dragon POW! by Boltray Games, being a new release in mid-April, the game did not generate revenue initially but saw an increase to $118 by early May. Downloads showed an impressive climb, peaking at 1.2K in mid-June. Weekly active users showed a promising growth from 87 in mid-April to over 1.8K by mid-June.
Lastly, Dragons: Rise of Berk from Jam City, Inc. had relatively low revenue, with an increase to $76 in late May. Downloads saw a significant spike to 948 in the third week of May. Active users experienced a rise in late May to nearly 3K but settled around 2.2K towards the end of June.
