State of AI Apps Report 2025 is Live!

In the second quarter of 2024, the entertainment app landscape in Mexico saw dynamic shifts in downloads, revenue, and active users. Here’s a closer look at how the top five apps performed, based on data from Sensor Tower.
Max: Stream HBO, TV, & Movies experienced a notable increase in weekly revenue, peaking at approximately $960K in mid-June. Weekly downloads showed an initial peak of around 826K in early April, followed by fluctuations, ending with 312K in the last week of June. Active users grew steadily, starting at 3.2M in early April and reaching nearly 4.9M by the end of the quarter.
Disney+ saw its weekly revenue fluctuate, with a significant surge to $1M in the final week of June. Weekly downloads varied, starting at 146K in early April and reaching a high of 187K by the end of June. Active users also displayed growth, peaking at 2.1M in the last week of June from 1.8M at the start of the quarter.
ViX: TV, Fútbol y Noticias showed consistent revenue growth, culminating at $526K in mid-June. Weekly downloads remained stable, ranging from 210K to 338K throughout the quarter. Active users increased significantly, starting at 1.1M in early April and reaching 1.7M by the end of June.
TikTok maintained strong weekly revenue, peaking at $492K in early June. Weekly downloads were robust, with a high of 1.1M in early April and a slight drop to 871K by the end of June. Active users remained consistently high, starting at 40.3M and peaking at 41.8M in mid-June.
Crunchyroll showed an upward trend in weekly revenue, reaching $216K at the end of June. Weekly downloads ranged from 74K to 112K, with a peak in the last week of June. Active users grew steadily, starting at 669K in early April and reaching 766K by the end of the quarter.
