In the second quarter of 2024, the fast food industry's mobile presence continued to engage users across Mexico. Data compiled by Sensor Tower offers a glimpse into how the top fast food and fast casual restaurants performed on the unified platform, capturing both iOS and Android metrics.
McDonald's Offers and Delivery saw a consistent rise in downloads starting from 57K in the first week of April to a peak of 122K by the end of May. Weekly active users also climbed from 372K to 424K by the end of June.
Burger King® Mexico experienced a mid-quarter surge with downloads jumping from 28K to 60K in mid-May, but there was a notable dip to 18K by late June. Active users reached their zenith at 191K in mid-May, only to fall to 121K towards the end of the quarter.
KFC México presented a fluctuating download pattern, with an initial drop to 19K in mid-April, followed by a rise to 44K in early May, and a gradual decrease to 28K by late June. The app's active users peaked at 178K in early May but saw a slight decline to 147K by the quarter's end.
Starbucks México showed a spike in downloads mid-April at 47K, followed by a decrease to 16K by late June. The weekly active users experienced a high of 434K in mid-April, but there was a reduction to 384K by the end of June.
Lastly, Domino's Pizza México downloads exhibited growth from 16K in the first week of April to a significant rise to 45K in the last week of June. The weekly active users for Domino's peaked at 170K in mid-May and settled at 178K by the close of Q2.
