Europe's Top Food & Diet Tracking Apps: Downloads, Revenue, and Active Users in Q2 2024
As the digital health industry continues to flourish, Sensor Tower has provided valuable insights into the performance of the top food and diet tracking applications in Europe during the second quarter of 2024.
Yuka - Food & Cosmetic Scanner experienced a decrease in downloads, starting from nearly 284K in the first week of April and dipping to around 154K by the end of June. Weekly active users showed a slight decline from 1.79M to 1.7M over the same period, while revenue fluctuated around the 38K mark.
YAZIO Calorie Counter & Diet showcased more stability, with downloads peaking at 168K in early June but also saw a minor drop to 146K by the quarter's end. The app's weekly active users presented a more positive trend, growing from 3.24M to 3.41M. Revenue for YAZIO maintained a steady range, mostly hovering around the mid-600Ks USD per week.
For Calorie Counter by FatSecret, downloads saw a slight decrease from 121K to 96K, while the number of weekly active users also witnessed a decrease from 1.33M to 1.32M. Revenue figures remained relatively consistent, averaging around 20K weekly.
MyFitnessPal: Calorie Counter showed a slight decrease in downloads from 90K to 83K, with weekly active users starting at 3.06M and ending at 3.17M for the quarter. The revenue for MyFitnessPal demonstrated a generally upward trend, peaking at 487K in early June.
Lastly, Intermittent Fasting Tracker ⋆ displayed an erratic download pattern, with a significant spike to 102K in mid-April, followed by a drop and another rise to 75K by the end of June. Active users peaked at 728K in mid-April, but eventually fell to 691K. Revenue for the app varied week by week, generally staying within the 17K to 20K range.
