The second quarter of 2024 has been eventful for the Food and Diet tracking category in Latin America. Here's a breakdown of the top 5 apps' performance on the unified platform, courtesy of data from Sensor Tower.
Fitia - Diet & Meal Planner from Peru, witnessed a gradual decrease in both downloads and revenue over the quarter, starting at 70K downloads and $36K revenue in the first week of April and ending with 48K downloads and $26K revenue in the last week of June. The app's weekly active users saw a slight decline from 206K to 187K within the same period.
German-based YAZIO Food & Calorie Counter showed more volatility in its revenue, peaking at $33K in mid-June, while downloads surged to 61K in the first week of June. Active users showed a promising increase from 737K to 832K over the course of the quarter.
Calorie Counter by FatSecret maintained a consistent revenue around the $5K mark, with downloads peaking at 35K in the third week of May. The app's active users showed a healthy increase from 286K to 306K from April to June.
The BMI Calculator from Appovo, despite a modest revenue performance, experienced a dramatic drop in downloads from 130K to 13K. However, the number of active users decreased from 225K in the first week of April to 83K by the end of June.
Lastly, Water Tracker: Water Reminder had a steady revenue around $50 weekly, with a slight uptick in the last week of June to $57. Downloads remained fairly consistent, ranging from 25K to 28K, while active users gradually increased from 209K to 220K during the quarter.
