In the second quarter of 2024, the top 5 free-to-play games in Mexico displayed a range of performance metrics in terms of downloads, revenue, and weekly active users. Here, we break down the key trends for each of these popular games.
Free Fire: 7th Anniversary demonstrated a fluctuating revenue pattern, peaking at approximately $577K in the week of April 8 and ending the quarter at around $525K. Downloads saw an initial rise to 387K in mid-April before stabilizing around 312K by the end of June. Weekly active users started at 25M at the beginning of April, dipped to 20.5M in mid-June, and rebounded to 22.8M by the end of the quarter.
Roblox experienced steady revenue growth, starting at $435K in early April and closing at $446K in late June. Downloads showed a consistent trend, peaking at 288K in mid-April and maintaining around 280K towards the end of the quarter. The game also saw an increase in weekly active users, growing from 7.6M in early April to 8.2M by the end of June.
Brawl Stars had notable revenue spikes, with significant peaks at $417K in late April and $448K in early June. Downloads increased from 82K at the start of April to 147K in early May, stabilizing around 103K by the end of June. Weekly active users saw growth from 2.4M at the beginning of April to 3.0M by the end of the quarter.
Candy Crush Saga showed a steady increase in revenue, reaching approximately $322K by late June. Downloads fluctuated slightly, peaking at 101K in the last week of June. Weekly active users remained relatively stable, starting at 1.2M and ending at 1.2M, with minor fluctuations throughout the quarter.
Call of Duty®: Mobile saw a gradual increase in revenue, peaking at $250K in late May. Downloads grew from 83K in early April to 120K by the end of June. Weekly active users showed a steady rise from 1.1M at the start of April to 1.0M by the end of June.
