In the second quarter of 2024, the Idle RPG genre saw varied performance among the top applications on the unified platform. Sensor Tower provides a deeper look into these trends, offering insights into downloads, revenue, and active user metrics.
Legend of Mushroom kicked off the quarter with strong download numbers, peaking at over 6K in the first week, but saw a sharp decline thereafter, dropping to virtually no new downloads by the end of May. Revenue followed a similar pattern, starting at $29K in the first week of April and experiencing a spike to $66K before declining to $5K by late June. Weekly active users remained relatively stable, with a slight decrease from 5.3K to just under 3K over the quarter.
Legend of Slime: Idle RPG War experienced a steady decline in downloads from 1.7K to 334, with a notable dip in mid-April. The app's revenue was negligible, with a small peak of $4 in late April. Weekly active users saw a decrease from 2.8K to 1K, showing a consistent drop throughout the quarter.
Azur Interactive Games Limited's Slime Castle - Idle TD launched in early May and saw downloads peak at 1.1K in its second week. Revenue was mostly non-existent, with a small uptick to $10 in early June. Active users grew from 194 to 1.1K in mid-June, before dropping to 745 by the quarter's end.
Slayer Legend : Idle RPG, published by GEAR2, had fluctuating download numbers, with a notable surge to 837 in late April and another to 927 by the end of June. The app generated minimal revenue, peaking at $5 in early May, and saw weekly active users increase from 3.5K to 3.2K over the course of the quarter.
Lastly, Delusion: Tactical Idle RPG by Super Planet had a late start, launching in June, and garnered over 1K downloads in its first week. No revenue was reported, and active user data was not available for this period.
