State of AI Apps Report 2025 is Live!
The second quarter of 2024 saw interesting trends in the performance of the top 5 navigation and maps apps on a unified platform in Latvia. Here's a closer look at the weekly downloads and active user metrics for these apps, based on data from Sensor Tower.
Waze Navigation & Live Traffic experienced a steady stream of downloads throughout the quarter. Weekly downloads fluctuated, starting at approximately 1.8K in early April and ending the quarter with a peak of about 2.4K in the week of June 24.
Google Maps Go showed a consistent download trend, starting at around 1.2K downloads in the first week of April. The app saw a gradual increase, reaching a high of about 1.6K in mid-June before slightly declining to approximately 1.4K by the end of the quarter.
LVM GEO - Recreation and work had a more fluctuating performance. Starting with around 634 downloads in early April, the app saw a decrease mid-quarter but recovered to approximately 577 downloads by the end of June.
Google Earth maintained a steady download rate throughout the quarter. Weekly downloads ranged from a low of about 273 in late May to a high of around 446 in the first week of April.
Lastly, Offline Maps, GPS, Speedometer showed varying download numbers. The app started with 156 downloads in the first week of April and reached its peak at around 430 downloads in early May, ending the quarter with approximately 262 downloads in the last week of June.
