In the second quarter of 2024, UK's personal finance app landscape showed varied performance across top budgeting and planning applications. Data provided by Sensor Tower offers an insightful look into how these apps fared in terms of downloads, revenue, and weekly active users.
Splitwise, a popular expense-sharing app, experienced a steady increase in revenue, climbing from $4K to over $8K by the end of the quarter. Downloads surged from 13K in the first week to over 20K, while weekly active users saw an overall rise from 49K to nearly 48K, despite some fluctuations.
The Budget Planner l Snoop Money app also saw a general uptick in revenue, beginning at $10K and peaking at $10K before settling around $6K. Downloads remained fairly consistent, ranging from 9K to 9K, while weekly active users showed a slight decline from 107K to 101K.
RoosterMoney: Kids Chores App maintained modest revenue figures, starting and ending the quarter at around $90. The app's downloads fluctuated, hitting a high of 9K and ending at 9K. Weekly active users displayed significant growth, shooting up from 105K to over 180K.
Emma - Budget Planner Tracker showed a decrease in revenue from $14K to $10K by quarter's end. Downloads saw a downward trend from 7K to 6K, while weekly active users experienced a dip from 144K to 135K.
Lastly, HyperJar focused on user acquisition as it reported no revenue. Downloads began at 2K and saw a mid-quarter spike to 5K before closing the quarter at 3K.
