Pirate-themed mobile games have sailed through the second quarter of 2024 with varying degrees of success. Here's a brief overview of how the top five pirate games performed on unified platforms, courtesy of data from Sensor Tower.
Pirates of the Caribbean : ToW experienced a fluctuating quarter with downloads peaking at 855K in the first week of April before dropping to zero by mid-June. Weekly active users followed a declining trend, starting at 800K and ending at 192K.
Pirate Raid: Caribbean Battle saw a modest start to the quarter with downloads hovering around 90K, but experienced a spike to 106K in early June. Active users peaked at 137K in the first week, before dipping to 85K by the end of June.
Sea of Conquest: Pirate War, despite being a new entrant, made notable revenue reaching up to 166K USD in a single week. Downloads showed a decline from 145K to 66K, while active users saw a mid-quarter climb, concluding at 239K.
Save The Pirate! Help! Escape! had its downloads fluctuate, with a notable jump to 60K in early June. Active users saw an increase from 63K to a peak of 86K twice in the quarter, indicating a steady player base.
Lastly, Tempest - Pirate Action RPG remained relatively steady in both downloads and active users. Downloads ranged from 13K to 27K, while active users stayed around 70K-80K throughout the quarter.
