Sensor Tower's recent data provides a detailed look into the performance of the top five wellness apps in the United States during the second quarter of 2024. The unified platform analysis, encompassing both iOS and Android data, showcases the downloads, revenue, and weekly active users for each app.
Calm saw a decrease in weekly revenue, starting the quarter at $1M and ending at $752K. Downloads for Calm also declined from 79K in the first week to approximately 60K in the last. Weekly active users peaked at 1.5M mid-quarter before settling at 1.3M.
Headspace: Sleep & Meditation experienced a slight downward revenue trend, beginning at $434K and dipping to $428K. Downloads fluctuated, reaching a high of 35K and concluding the quarter at around 29K. The app's weekly active users hovered between 550K and 504K throughout the quarter.
ShutEye®: Sleep Tracker, Sound also saw a downward trend in revenue, with a starting point of $377K and finishing at $186K. Downloads started strong at 183K but saw a significant drop to 70K by the end of the quarter. Weekly active users decreased from 382K to 232K.
Hatch Sleep showed a more stable revenue pattern, starting at $239K and ending at $258K. Downloads remained consistent, with a slight increase from 22K to around 22K. The app maintained a robust active user base, starting at 948K and slightly decreasing to 963K.
BetterSleep: Relax and Sleep had varying revenue throughout the quarter, starting at $291K and dropping to $166K. Downloads saw a significant spike in mid-June with 207K, contrasting with the rest of the quarter, which ranged from 92K to 10K. Weekly active users peaked at 917K in mid-June after starting the quarter at 711K.
