During the third quarter of 2024, the top communication apps on the Android platform in Turkey showcased varied performance metrics, as reported by Sensor Tower. Here's a closer look at the trends observed for WhatsApp Messenger, Telegram, Snapchat, Getcontact, and Messenger.
WhatsApp Messenger maintained a robust presence with weekly downloads fluctuating between 132K and 261K. The app saw an impressive uptick in active users, from approximately 41.6M in early July to around 43.2M by the end of September.
Telegram experienced a notable increase in weekly revenue, peaking at about $51.9K in the last week of September. Downloads remained relatively stable, with a significant spike to approximately 220K in the final week. Meanwhile, active users steadily rose, reaching around 7.6M by the quarter's end.
Snapchat reported modest weekly revenue, hovering around $5.7K to $8.5K. Downloads saw a peak of 157K mid-quarter, while active users showed a slight decrease from 12M to 11.2M over the period.
Getcontact demonstrated consistent revenue growth, reaching approximately $42.4K in the last week. Weekly downloads showed a decline, from 107K in July to 87K by September's end. Active users experienced fluctuations, ultimately stabilizing at around 846K.
Finally, Messenger generated minimal revenue, with weekly figures peaking at $125. Downloads decreased over the quarter, from 70K to 51K. Active users also saw a decline, ending the quarter at approximately 13.9M.
