In the third quarter of 2024, dragon-themed games captured the attention of Android users in the United States, with notable performances from the top five titles. According to Sensor Tower data, these games showcased varying trends in downloads, revenue, and active users.
Dragon City: Mobile Adventure by Social Point demonstrated a stable weekly revenue trend, peaking at around $104K in late July. The game experienced a gradual decline in weekly downloads, starting from 33K in early July and settling at approximately 24K by the end of September. The weekly active users saw fluctuations, beginning at over 512K and ending the quarter at around 462K.
Merge Dragons! from Gram Games Limited maintained a strong weekly revenue, reaching up to $447K in mid-August. Although weekly downloads showed a decline from 24K to about 16K, the active users remained relatively steady, with a slight increase towards the end of the quarter, closing at 259K.
The newly released My Dragon - Virtual Pet Game by Appsyoulove showed a varied performance. Weekly revenue decreased from $9.8K in early July to $6.5K by September. Downloads spiked to 24K in early August but fell sharply to just over 3K by the quarter's end. Active users mirrored this trend, starting at 17K and decreasing to around 14K.
Dragon Drill from WinterGameStudio had inconsistent download numbers, peaking at 18K in mid-July and ending at around 6K. The active users remained fairly stable, with a slight decrease from 79K to about 61K throughout the quarter.
Finally, Merge Dragon (Suika Dragon) by 무지개토끼 witnessed an initial surge in downloads, reaching over 53K in mid-August, but saw a dramatic drop to just 427 by the end of August. Active users dwindled significantly, starting from over 3K and dropping to only 640 by the end of the quarter.
