In the third quarter of 2024, the food and drink app sector in Turkey saw varied performance trends on the Android platform, with data sourced from Sensor Tower providing detailed insights into weekly downloads and active user numbers for the top five apps.
Trendyol Go experienced a fluctuating trend in weekly downloads, starting at around 87K and peaking at over 104K in early July before gradually declining to approximately 56K by the end of September. Throughout the quarter, the app maintained a robust base of weekly active users, consistently hovering around 1.2M, with a slight increase observed mid-quarter.
Yemeksepeti - Food & Grocery showed a stable pattern in weekly downloads, beginning at about 71K and witnessing a modest peak of 78K in late August. The app's weekly active user count demonstrated some fluctuations, starting at 1.9M, briefly rising above 2M in early July, and then settling back to around 1.9M by the end of September.
Algida ile Kazan saw a sharp decline in weekly downloads from 91K in early July to just over 5K by the end of the quarter. The weekly active users mirrored this trend, decreasing from 432K to 284K over the same period.
McDonald's experienced a gradual decline in weekly downloads, starting at 42K and dropping to 15K by late September. However, the app maintained a relatively stable number of weekly active users, which fluctuated around 260K, with a notable increase to 299K in early September.
Tıkla Gelsin® - Online Yemek exhibited a positive trend in weekly downloads, rising from 18K at the start of the quarter to 35K by the end. The app's weekly active users also saw a gradual increase, starting at 150K and reaching 171K by late September.
